Orbis is built by the team at Covase, a UK fleet management business that has been running fleets for SMEs and large corporates since 2003. Our founders have spent their careers inside UK vehicle leasing, fleet operations and commercial fleet management — bringing more than ninety years of combined experience to the platform.

We built Orbis because the tools we'd used for twenty years measured the wrong things. We built Orbis IO because we saw what connected car data could unlock if someone who understood fleets got their hands on it first.

We got tired of the
tools that existed.

For twenty years, the Covase team managed UK fleets using the same platforms everyone else used. Dashboards that showed what they could see, not what was happening. Compliance records maintained by spreadsheet. Carbon reports built on HMRC mileage estimates that bore no relation to actual fuel consumption.

"We built Orbis because the tools we'd used for twenty years measured the wrong things."

When connected car data became accessible through manufacturer APIs, we saw an opportunity. Not to build another telematics platform, but to build the fleet intelligence product that fleet managers had always needed — one that used data the vehicles were already generating, interpreted by people who understood what fleet managers actually do with it.

Orbis platform
01 — The data

Real numbers,
not estimates

Every data point in Orbis comes from manufacturer APIs — the same systems that power the vehicle's own onboard computers. Not a telematics dongle. Not an HMRC mileage rate. Actual fuel consumption. Actual range. Actual charging costs.

02 — The people

Built by people
who've done it

The product decisions at Orbis are made by people who have managed UK fleets — not by a UX team working from a market research report. When we decide what a compliance dashboard should show, we're drawing on decades of experience with what fleet managers actually need at 7am on a Monday.

03 — The platform

One platform,
every module

Compliance, intelligence, salary sacrifice, ESG reporting, EV transition planning, expense claims — all on the same connected platform, drawing on the same OEM data spine. No switching between tools. No data migration as you grow.

Who you're
working with.

A system is only as good as the people behind it. From the moment you start your trial, you have direct access to fleet professionals who've worked in the industry for decades — not a support ticket queue.

Problems we're
solving next.

Orbis is an actively developed platform. The founding team's decades of operational fleet experience means we know exactly which problems still don't have good solutions — and we're building them in order of impact.

Energy & utilities data integration

Connecting fleet energy consumption to broader organisational reporting — closing the gap between vehicle charging and estate energy management. Fleet electrification has an energy estate implication that no current tool addresses end to end.

Have a fleet problem we haven't solved?

The Orbis roadmap is shaped by the fleet managers who use the platform. If there's a problem you're dealing with that you don't see a solution for here, we want to hear about it.
